In addition to the RCIA that supports members of the parish in their preparation for reception into the church through baptism, a number of other sacramental groups have been established to support parishioners on their journey to receiving other sacraments in St Georges.

The First Holy Communion group supports 7 and 8 year olds in Year 3 of primary school in their preparation for the sacraments of Confession and Holy Communion.

The Confirmation Group is for 13, 14 & 15 year olds in Year 9 and 10 of secondary school preparing to be confirmed by the Bishop.

Each group meets at least monthly and in addition there are masses of preparation in which parents, guardians and sponsors can take part.

CONFIRMATION 2010

The date for Confirmation in 2010 is 19th May. This is for the York Pastoral Area.
